Makenna Campbell is an advocate, researcher, and leader focused on promoting policies that are patient centered and anti-racist. She served as the 2022-2023 Executive Vice President, Advocacy of the Medical Cannabis Student Association (MCSA) and created opportunities for students to engage with existing cannabis advocacy organizations. Her passion for fairness and recognition of her privilege in the cannabis space led her to pursue two graduate degrees: an MEd in Community Engagement and an MS in Medical Cannabis Science & Therapeutics. Makenna has an extensive background in fundraising, including prospect research, grant writing, stewardship, event-planning, and annual campaign tracking. She has also planned and led dialogues and group activities on topics such as gender-based violence and gender identity. Makenna is also a “retired” youth volleyball coach, a former Head Start teacher (infant-preschool), and a cat mom of one.
