Jacquie Cohen Roth, MS

Jacquie is a cannabis science and policy key opinion leader in the U.S. and global cannabis markets. She’s uniquely qualified with education and experience in conventional healthcare and cannabis science and policy.

Jacquie is the Founder/CEO of social enterprises CannabizMD (MBE/DBE/SBE), Tea Pad and the non-profit Tea Pad Foundation Ltd. She’s a member of the first graduating class of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy (UMSOP) Master of Science Medical Cannabis and Therapeutics, (summa cum laude, 2021). Jacquie is dedicated to social and distributive justice in the medical cannabis industry. Her efforts, success, and leadership have been recognized at both state and national levels. Jacquie is now an adjunct professor with the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy for coursework related to federal and state cannabis laws and policies.

Jacquie’s vision for CannabizMD is to help fill the void of quality medical cannabis science and policy education. The CannabizMD ecosystem includes medical cannabis company owners/operators; physicians; advanced practice healthcare providers, regulators; researchers; scientists; policy influencers, and ancillary service providers to advance the industry’s best standards and optimal patient outcomes.

Jacquie was named by Marijuana Business Magazine (MJBiz) in 2019 as one of the 22 women to watch in the industry. Later that year, she was a resource for the MJBiz 2019 Diversity in Cannabis Report. Most recently, Jacquie was recognized in one U.S. leading medical cannabis program as one of ten “Who’s Who in Maryland’s Cannabis Industry” by the Baltimore Business Journal (January 2021, 2022). She is a recognized professional and community leader within Maryland as a member of the 2018 class of Leadership Maryland.
